Thank you for your patience while we retrieve your images.

On the 3rd May 2007 being the day following my 60th birthday I used, for the first time, my new Leica M8 digital camera which was a birthday present from Lorna, my dear wife. As a consequence, this gallery containing my photographs of Derbyshire begins. Over the years those early pictures have been added to and many were taken on our walks together. The camera too has been updated, first of all to an M9P and then in May 2017 to the M10. At the same time I changed the 35mm Summicron purchased in film days for the M6 to the latest computation of the same lens which is now aspherical. Since the pictures are in date order you can follow our footsteps and join us on the walks which we both trust you will enjoy. The later pictures are to be found by scrolling down the gallery. As a result of its size this gallery ends some ten years later in August 2017. From then on our walks and pictures become specific named galleries.

Interestingly, as I look again at my earlier images, I can see the progress my digital photography has made over the intervening years. Each change of camera and lens has brought about an improvement as have the many revisions to Capture One and Adobe Photoshop software. However the biggest improvements come from what I have learnt from books, Capture One webinars, the comments of judges on images I have submitted as competition entries, looking at other people's images and my many friends at Matlock Camera Club. Without them I would still be in the digital dark and for this I thank them.
