Towards the end of May 2016 we once again journeyed north and spent two and a half more days in the Lake District staying as we have done many times before at The Borrowdale Gates Hotel (www.borrowdale-gates.com). Since the weather on our arrival seemed set fair we quickly put on our boots and set off on a walk, this time heading north alongside the shore of Derwent Water. The following day took us to Little Town in the Newlands Valley returning to Borrowdale by way of Hause Gate. Needless to say the sun made no appearance.

On the last day of August we returned to Borrowdale and retraced our previous afternoon's walk alongside Derwent Water. The next day and this time in sunshine, we again walked along the Newland Valley. However being the Lake District, after lunch it rained. On our last day we caught a bus to the top of the Honister Pass and walked back to Grange.
