On Sunday, the 19th May 2013 the chapel held its Anniversary Service at which the speaker was Sir Peter Soulsby, the Mayor of Leicester. The evening service was preceded by afternoon tea and since the weather was perfect, the sandwiches, cakes and trifle were enjoyed by all in the open air. The service also marked the completion of a major programme of remedial works to the chapel. Matlock Brass Band was in attendance and entertained those assembled in the afternoon before accompanying the hymn singing during the evening service. As can be seen from the photographs a great time was had by all.
