Not having visited London for some time, we decided to rectify the omission and stay once again in the capital. On the first morning a visit to Leica Mayfair was made, a must for any Leica enthusiast and in the afternoon we enjoyed a Thames Clipper ride to Greenwich. A visit to Buckingham Palace was pre-booked for the morning of the second day and was followed by a photographic stroll along the South Bank. Good weather enabled us to walk everywhere, taxis only being used on the journeys to and from St Pancras International. We stayed at the Strand Palace Hotel (www.strandpalacehotel.co.uk) and as its name implies, is conveniently located on the Strand.
