Home»The Severn Valley Railway, June 2009
We were fortunate enough to be invited guests when our son and his fiancee's father had a morning's footplate experience on the Severn Valley Railway. The visit included a train journey from Bewdley to Bridgnorth and return and a conducted tour of the engineering workshop and signal box, both at Bridgnorth. I have tried to capture the atmosphere of the Severn Valley Railway, just touch the screen to experience the smell of steam, hot oil and smoke. If you choose to watch the slideshow you will hear the sound of the locomotive as recorded on the footplate.
