One of the reasons for our journey across Europe was to visit Auschwitz and Birkenau. It was a moving experience; the sheer size of Birkenau stretching as far as one could see in every direction will stay with me until my dying day. You would think that mankind would learn from such past atrocities but looking across the world stage, my conclusion is that little changes.
