In May 2014 we again spent some time in the Lake District. Having booked our stay at the Borrowdale Gates Hotel located on the outskirts of the village of Grange http://borrowdale-gates.com and checked out the weather forecast, cloud and heavy rain for the two days, it was with a feeling of gloom that we set off. However despite heavy rain whilst traversing Stainmore on the A66 by the time we arrived in Borrowdale the weather had improved. And it continued to improve. So much so that when offered a "linger longer" opportunity by the hotel we stayed another day. The pictures below were taken on four separate walks and are in sequential order.
