Hodsock Priory is a historic country house set in eight hundred acres of countryside on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire and near the village of Blyth. There are twelve acres of snowdrop covered woodland and five acres of formal gardens. Lorna read about the Priory in a recent edition of the Royal Horticultural Society "The Garden" magazine. The article enthused over the variety and sheer numbers of snowdrops that had been planted there over many years. So, in February 2014 we decided to take a look for ourselves. For information, the web link to the Hodsock Priory is http://www.hodsockpriory.com/. It is worth noting that the on site café serves the most delicious coffee cake. If I had been by myself I would probably have had a second helping.
