Home»Eight European cities and Auschwitz by train, August 2012
It was a journey that would take twenty three days. As you might expect, I took many photographs and to make for easier viewing, I have grouped them city by city. Since our mode of transport was rail, I have included details of the trains we travelled on and their departure and arrival times. As a rail enthusiast I have also included pictures of the stations, trains and rolling stock. I apologise if you find them boring but there are one or two who will view this gallery who share my interest. To enable you to know more about where each picture was taken I have added descriptive text to each page. In addition each picture can be enlarged (and shown without the description) by a single click on it. A further click returns you to the original page.
And finally, both Lorna and I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the holiday.
